一般简称为空预器。多用于燃煤电站锅炉。可分为管箱式、回转式两种，其中回转式又分为风罩回转式和受热面回转式两种。电站锅炉较常采用受热面回转式预热器。在锅炉中的应用一般为两分仓、三分仓、四分仓式，其中四分仓较常用于循环流化床锅炉中。管箱预热器工作原理：较为简单，烟气从管箱外部流经，空气从管箱内部通过，空气预热器价格，通过温差不同传热。与省煤器、过热器等原理相同。回转式预热器的工作原理是：预热器转子部件由数万计的传热元件组成，空气预热器，当空预器缓慢旋转，烟气和空气逆向交替流经空气预热器。蓄热元件在烟气侧吸热，在空气侧放热，从而达到降低锅炉排烟温度，提高热风温度的预热作用。
